Labhakarini InfoTech (P) LTD ("Company", "we", "us", "our") operates the eSalahKaar mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Information You Provide:

(a) Account Information: First name, last name, phone number, email address, date of birth, gender, and profile photo
(b) Payment Information: Wallet transaction history, payment method details (processed securely through Razorpay — we do not store card numbers or UPI PINs)
(c) Communication Data: Messages sent during chat sessions, support tickets, and feedback
(d) Verification Data (Consultants): College enrollment proof, student ID, academic credentials

1.2 Information Collected Automatically:

(a) Device Information: Device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address
(b) Usage Data: App features used, session duration, pages viewed, actions taken
(c) Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address (we do not use GPS tracking)
(d) Log Data: Error logs, crash reports, performance data

1.3 Information from Third Parties:

(a) Payment verification data from Razorpay
(b) Push notification tokens from Google FCM / Apple APNS

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

2.1 To provide and maintain the App services
2.2 To process payments and manage your Wallet
2.3 To verify Consultant credentials
2.4 To send transactional notifications (booking confirmations, reminders, refund notifications)
2.5 To provide customer support and respond to inquiries
2.6 To improve the App through usage analytics
2.7 To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
2.8 To comply with legal obligations
2.9 To send promotional communications (only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time)

3. DATA SHARING

3.1 We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3.2 We share data only with:

(a) Consultants: Your first name and profile photo are visible to Consultants you book sessions with. Your phone number, email, and other personal details are never shared with Consultants.
(b) Payment Processors: Razorpay receives payment information necessary to process transactions.
(c) Cloud Infrastructure Providers: Our data is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL) and related cloud services with industry-standard security.
(d) Analytics Providers: Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be shared with analytics services.
(e) Law Enforcement: When required by law, court order, or government request.

4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

4.1 Your data is stored on secure servers within India using Supabase infrastructure.

4.2 We implement industry-standard security measures including:

(a) Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
(b) Encryption at rest
(c) Row-level security (RLS) on database tables
(d) Secure authentication with session tokens
(e) Regular security audits

4.3 Session recordings (voice calls) are encrypted and stored for a limited period for dispute resolution purposes only. Chat messages are stored in encrypted form.

4.4 No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. DATA RETENTION

5.1 Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days, except as required for legal, financial, or audit purposes.

5.2 Transaction Data: Retained for a minimum of 8 years as required by Indian tax and financial regulations.

5.3 Session Data: Voice call recordings retained for 90 days after the session. Chat transcripts retained for 1 year.

5.4 Support Tickets: Retained for 2 years from resolution date.

5.5 Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and business improvement.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

6.1 Access: You can view your personal data through the App's Account section at any time.

6.2 Correction: You can update your name through the App. Phone number and email can be changed through a verification process.

6.3 Deletion: You can request account deletion through Settings. Date of birth and gender cannot be changed after initial setup but are deleted with the account.

6.4 Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data by contacting support.

6.5 Opt-out: You can disable promotional notifications through the App's Settings. Transactional notifications (booking confirmations, refunds) cannot be disabled as they are essential to the service.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

7.1 The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

7.2 We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

8. COOKIES AND TRACKING

8.1 The mobile App does not use browser cookies.

8.2 The marketing website (esalahkaar.com) uses essential cookies and Google Analytics for traffic analysis. No personal data is collected on the website.

9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

9.1 The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

10.1 We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted within the App and on the website with an updated "Last Updated" date.

10.2 Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10.3 Material changes will be notified via push notification.

11. GRIEVANCE OFFICER
